Amway, Rexall, Nutrition for Life, Melaluca, YTB Travel, WLG, Shop2Earn, Local Ad Links, Fortune High Tech Marketing, Ameriplan USA, Numis Network, Royal Cruise Matrix, and Liberty International. What do all these companies have in common? They are all very good companies, they all have good comp plans, and they are all successful.
The biggest thing they all have in common for me is that I have been a distributor for every one of them. Yes all 14 of them and I think I may have forgotten one or two. I was given spots with a couple, paid for most, bought a lot of "stuff", and even liked some of it. I had some success with a few. I built large successful teams with four of them.
So why do I tell you all this? Well, because I have learned a lot from each of these companies. I have learned a lot about the network marketing business, learned a lot about different types of compensation plans, and every single one of these companies has the very best comp plan in the industry by far, so they all say. I am not knocking any of them I just find that humorous.
I have learned the good the bad and the ugly. I have met and worked with some wonderful people who are still dear friends and I have worked with others. Over the past 25 years I have gotten a very good education on the network marketing business, seen lots of changes and also seen most companies still doing business the same way they did 20 years ago which I find amazing and somewhat sad!
The most important things I have learned over the last 25 years is that to be successful you need to follow a few tips:
1. You Must be on a good team with quality leaders and team members that you respect and like hanging out with. Be selective about who you recruit, you will be spending a lot of time with them.
2. You must have a proven system, a blue print that is easy to follow and is duplicate-able for your down line. A system that will help your team make money while they are building their organization.
3. You have to have a strong desire to help other people become successful. You must be willing to give without want before you can have success. One of if not the best thing about the network marketing business is that you cannot be successful unless you help others be successful. You won’t find that in the normal dog eat dog job world.
4. You must be willing to make a commitment, you cannot quit when you run into a little resistance. You will have people try and talk you out of success, but heck, misery loves company so make your choice!
5. You must be willing to work hard and not give up! Did you know that more than 90% of people who stay with the same network marketing company for over 10 years make greater that six figure incomes? What job do you know that pays over 90% of their employees who have been with them for 10 years that much? None that I know of. If you find one let me know.
Well, there you have it, this is the network marketing business. Because they all pretty much work on the same principles of recruit 2 or 3 and then help them do the same you need to find a team you want to be on, one that has great leadership and people you like to spend time with because you will be doing a lot of that.
Now the only remaining piece of the puzzle is the system, the blueprint to success that you can teach your team and help them make money and not run a "Non-Profit home based business.
